Abstract (English)

Catalogue to accompany an exhibition that presents archival material as a way of revisiting the controversial “Corridart” project created for the 1976 Olympic games in Montreal. Paikowsky's text outlines the history of the project, which was torn down by the municipal government one week after its installation. Includes a chronology of related events and brief descriptions of the artworks selected for “Corridart.” Texts in English and French.

Catalogue d’une exposition qui, à l’aide de documents d’archives, fait revivre le controversé projet « Corridart », qui fut organisé à l’occasion des Jeux olympiques de 1976. Paikowsky retrace le déroulement des événements qui ont mené au démantèlement du projet par le gouvernement municipal, une semaine après son installation. Inclut une chronologie d’événements connexes de même que de brèves descriptions des œuvres sélectionnées pour « Corridart ». Textes en anglais et en français.
