Abstract (English)Catalogue presenting the work produced by Egoyan during an artist’s residency, namely an audio-visual installation that uses old reel-to-reel tape recorders donated by the public. In an interview with Ismert, Egoyan discusses notions such as memory, temporality, community and technology in relation to his film work and Beckett’s “Krapp’s Last Tape” – the play that inspired his piece. Tarantino gives an overview of the artist’s film and video installations from the perspective of their relationship with the viewer. Texts in English and French.
