Abstract (English)

Y. Ploum recounts the genesis of the exhibition that matches six Canadian artists with the themes in Armando’s work. Halkes examines the methods the artists use to reveal how time conspires with matter to transform memories of past events. She finds in each work, consonant with Armando’s re-examination of the Second World War, the simultaneous erasure and preservation of painful history. Biographical notes. 11 bibl. ref.
