Abstract (English)This catalogue documents Poulin’s sculptural installations and Box-Monuments (reliefs). Asselin situates the artist’s production within contemporary art and within a larger historical context. He refers to the works theatricality and how they are replete with a sensual and narrative minimalism, with religiousness and baroquism. The author provides insights into the work through an “Alphabet Book” written in collaboration with the artist (with entries ranging from "Alchemy" to "Venice"). Texts in French and English.
