Abstract (English)

The contributors offer different perspectives in this survey of Zuck’s paintings. Govier meditates on the process of interpreting the work, while Spalding recounts the process of its slow acceptance by the public once the artist turned from conceptualism to representational painting. Hatt describes this work, both childlike and adult, as tracing the artist’s progression from elementary representations to more complex images, like the early acquisition of speech.
