Abstract (English)

Commemorating the life of Sudbury artist Charles Paxy, this exhibition focuses on his later work and its most prominent subject matter: mining. Huffman argues that Paxy drew upon his intimate knowledge of the working conditions of miners to produce work that lets the viewer see beneath the surface and into their lives.
