Abstract (English)

An imaginative history of Oakville and its identity is evoked in Borsos’ photomontages incorporating old envelopes, notes Fleming in this exhibition catalogue. O’Brian connects the artist’s collecting activity with the works in the show, and concludes that they successfully bring the past to life. Borsos reflects on his use of intervention and interest in relations between geographical location, time and history. Includes list of works. 16 bibl. ref.
