Abstract (English)

The exhibition “Reverie” is made up of two different installations – “Swoon” and “The Newborn” – that combine paintings with fairy tale like texts. In this catalogue, Baldissera and Tousley root the works in the places that inspired them: the Everglades and Cougar Annie’s farm. Both suggest the works are like children’s stories for women. Meigs’ paintings and related texts are reproduced on separate cards. Biographical notes. 5 bibl. ref.
