Abstract (English)

This CD/Bookwork includes the soundtrack to Thauberger’s video installation, “Songstress,” which featured eight young female singer/songwriters from Victoria, performing in nature. Includes recordings of the eight songs, photographic portraits of the women, and their hand-written lyrics. Slade's text deals with subjects of women's music, portrait photography and the conflation of femininity/nature.
