Abstract (English)Seven authors (artists and theorists) examine a number of practices that involve different forms of network-based audio-visual communications (chat protocols, online theatre, immersive telepresence) with the aim of integrating the viewer into the artwork. Topics examined include: “net” and “browser art”; networking and politics; imaginative, illusionary parameters and the networked narrative; the role of the viewer within a telematic environment; and the creative re-writing of software code.
