Abstract (English)

This video compiles six short works by Millan and Dempsey produced betwen 1990 and 1998: We're Talking Vulva, A Day in the Life of a Bull-Dyke, What Does a Lesbian Look Like, Homogeneity, Nu-vo Homo (with Lawson), Object/Subject of Desire. Subjects such as sexuality, lesbian identity, cross-dressing and desire are explored. Several of the works incorporate humour and play off popular culture forms such as film, television and music videos. Some of the pieces are adaptations from the artists' collaborative performances.
