Abstract (English)

This double catalogue documents the works of two Haligonian artists, both of whom are concerned with local and Maritime history. Walker's work about "ghost stories, local heroes, popular disasters and labour history" embodies a process of specific historical enquiry. Leonard's paintings and collages deal with episodes from the history of Halifax and the Annapolis Valley. Biographical notes.
