Abstract (English)

In his essay on the concrete poet and installation artist, curator Day relates Finlay's participation in the "War of Little Sparta" and provides extensive documentation of the events surrounding the French Government's rejection of a commissioned proposal for a Bicentennial memorial garden on the basis of alleged anti-Semitic and neo-Nazi overtones in Finlay's work.
