Abstract (English)

"The forests portrayed in each recall summers spent at camp, where ordinary rules of conduct loosen their grip on capers and dissolve into the wilderness. They practice skills they have learned sitting in gymnasiums during thee winter and discover things not thought in books. In this liminal zone, boys play at being men and explore their identities, not wanting to be children any more but still beset with the innocence of youth. As witnesses to these games, the viewer is made into a voyeur." -- page 3.
