Abstract (English)

Drawing upon the 1953 Dell paperback edition of "Sam Snead's Natural Golf", artist McCarroll has created a body of work that uses the game of golf as metaphor and vehicle for the examination of issues on contemporary life and art. Curator Peter White exposes the irony and humour as well as the darker associations to the game, as he examines the prints, paintings and drawings of this exhibition. Biographical notes.
