Abstract (English)

"Gar·baj' is a series of SX-70 Polaroids which I produced between 1979 and 1981. A book was published by the Visual Studies Workshop in 1981. They documented the garbage being thrown out at "Haymarket", the outdoor market in Boston. I went each weekend for over two years, just steps in front of the garbage trucks. It was my first series in color. Most of the originals are still available as well as a few copies of the book." -- Artist's website.
