Abstract (English)

"For her first solo exhibition, the Brazilian artist Erika Verzutti displayed bronze, concrete, clay, and wax sculptures on the Tang’s mezzanine. Verzutti’s works often combine references to everyday objects like fruits, vegetables, and eggs, and ceremonial forms, such as totems, tablets, and gravestones. Imbued with a sense of mysterious ritual, Verzutti pays special attention to forms and cycles found in nature." -- Publisher's website.
