Abstract (English)

"The past haunts the present, its persistence observed in the intimate gestures of the body. Recording its local manifestations, each image retains impressions consonant with the human figure. Salvaged hospital sheets stained with coffee function as the artist's medium. Pooling in the recesses of the flesh, sleeping in its hollows, and marbling in the folds of the skin, the coffee stains retrace the contours of the body and the pressure once exerted on the sheets. The body is defined 'in absentia' by its liquid shadows." -- p. [7].
