Abstract (English)"Developed by Arprim since 2013, À l’affiche encourages the creation of original prints, printed images and posters by contemporary Canadian and Quebec artists, both renowned and emerging. [...] The process is simple: each year, one or two professional artists are invited to design an image for a limited-edition print, which is then screen-printed by paid art students. [...] For three years now, these collaborations have yielded quality, original and exclusive works that fully embrace the limits and possibilities afforded by screen-printing. In the exhibition, works produced for a previous edition of À l’affiche are shown next to others by the same artists, demonstrating how each project fits in with their authors’ artistic approach, their formal and conceptual concerns, as well as the recurring themes in their practice." -- Publisher's website.
