Abstract (English)

"With her haunting animated installation Force Field, Lindsay Page employs the tension between moving and still images in order to reflect on the interconnected psychological states of isolation and connection. A small figure is surrounded by a flock of animated birds projected onto a field of translucent screens throughout the gallery. The animation of the birds is coarse and their movement stilted, referencing early motion-photography/cinema and the digitization of the medium." -- Publisher's website.
