Abstract (English)

Using leading-edge technology along with the human ear as the ultimate instrument for measurement, Neuhaus has created a sound installation that can only be perceived within the narrow band of its "aural space". It is likened to an installation by Richard Long and to Carl André's sheets of metal. Sketches resembling architect's drawings, illustrate the catalogue text. Biographical notes.

Résumé

Utilisant une technologie avancée et désignant l'oreille humaine comme instrument de mesure ultime, Neuhaus a créé une installation sonore ne pouvant être perçue hors de son "espace acoustique". Ce travail est comparé à une installation de Richard Long ainsi qu'aux planches d'acier de Carl André. Des esquisses proches de dessins d'architecture illustrent le catalogue. Notice biographique.
