Abstract (English)

Australian painter Tillers' reflections of reproduction of 19th and 20th century Western "masterworks" often invaded with fragments of native culture suggest place through displacement. Catalogue includes two interviews with the artist, whose interest in acculturation and sabotage produce mixed-media works of a highly reflexive nature. Biographical notes. Bibl. 2 p.
