Abstract (English)

Representing contemporary printmaking, this monograph includes essays on individual artists and organizations from seven different countries. Wroblewska focuses on the institutional and technical support for printmaking in Poland and recent Polish poster art. Sakane examines the 20th century shifts in the world art scene and its effect on graphic design in Japan. Includes an essay on the problems of legally defining original print versus reproduction.
