Abstract (English)

A discussion of Baden's sculptural production from his early creation of "envelope spaces" to the "task-oriented" pieces of this exhibition, using the theory of Heidegger and Baudrillard and a deconstructive interpretation of the sculpture "Hudson Street Tomato". The viewer, in these works, becomes participant performing "tasks" with the sculpture acting as device or instrument. The illustrations include photographs of some pieces in their original outdoor sites. Biographical notes. 5 bibl. ref.
