Abstract (English)" Drawn to what she calls [Cy] Twombly's "secret language" of "scribbles and erasures", to his connection with Rome and the ancient civilizations of the Mediterranean, to his literary and historical allusiveness, and, among many other attributes, to his modern temperament balanced by classical values, Ewa has produced a quartet of artist's books- 'twombly, italia' (2015); 'a bouquet for cy' (2017); 'The White Sculptures' (2019); and 'I Never Knew Cy Twombly' (2020) that poignantly capture the profound and transformative bond she's forged with Twombly, whom she has called her "muse". Transformative because her response to Twombly required that her practice as a photographer make room for the medium of lyric poetry. That one of the twentieth-century's most literary visual artists should elicit poems from Ewa is completely apt. [...] Now, in 'fuori tempo (out of time), Ewa has balanced twenty of her photographs with the twenty poems contained in 'I never knew Cy Twombly'.
