Abstract (English)

Documentation of an artist-produced exhibition of contemporary native work in various media organized in anticipation of the celebrations of the 500th anniversary of Columbus' "discovery" of the Americas. Artist Belanger uses Picasso's "Guernica" as a springboard into a review of the historical and political context which the show is a reaction to, while Fry, offers biographical information and interprets five artists' content and use of media. 6 bibl. ref.
