Abstract (English)

Wallace presents Dikeakos' photographs of Vancouver through discussions of the region's history, the artist's past work and biography, and the stories behind individual photographs. In the form of a letter, Dikeakos explains his personal history and rationale in superimposing English, Squamish and Musqueam words sandblasted into sheets of glass over large colour photos. Short interpretive text by anthropologist Berringer is also included. Biographical notes. 16 bibl. ref.
