In an interview with Winters, Smith discusses the importance of the body in her work, conditions of present culture, and her approach to art making. Colombo and Janus investigate central themes of the body and body fluids, interpreting Smith's work as expressions of the self. Lipschutz-Villa comments on the origin of the book.
