Abstract (English)

Testa introduces two historical projects that have converged on early cinema (mid 1890s to circa 1910): an innovative reappraisal by film historians since the late 1970s and an avant-garde cinema that, since the late 1960s, has given that era special attention. A description of the seven programmes of film screenings outlines their links.
