Abstract (English)

Forti offers an account of her life in dance, situated against her experience at Woodstock in 1969. Descriptions of proto-performance "dance constructions" and other pieces, recollections of beginnings in California and New York in the 1950s and 1960s (with Bob Morris, Trisha Brown, and others), and journal excerpts outline Forti's career.
