Abstract (English)

An anthology of texts (including the Refus Global) written by Borduas between between 1942 and 1958, dealing chiefly with his ideological conceptions opposed to the then prevailing conservatism. Gagnon delineates the socio-political context in Québec during that period and traces the circumstances surrounding the writing of each text. 9 bibl. ref.
