Abstract (English)

In a monograph published to coincide with Iskowitz's 1982 retrospective exhibition, Freedman's text traces the artist's life-long artistic pursuit - from early childhood in Poland, to life at Auschwitz and Buchenwald, to the years since settling in Toronto in 1949; the artist's explorations of the Canadian landscape are highlighted.
