Abstract (English)

On the occasion of the exhibition of 28 U.S.-based artists on the theme of (mainly physical) connections, Kardon meditates on the history of connecting structures in art. Foster takes a parable by Kafka on the Great Wall of China as his starting point and procedes to stretch the theme to metaphorical heights. Biographical notes. 3 bibl. ref.
