Abstract (English)

Halbreich describes three American artists' works as attempts to fuse language and imagery into a whole. In separate interviews, Fisher discusses his approach to artmaking and the importance of scale, Chermick introduces her notion of bilingual art, and Sharits comments on his film "3rd Degree" (1982).
