Abstract (English)

A comprehensive analysis of Graham's oeuvre includes essays which elaborate on the resonance of Freud's concepts of "the uncanny" and "repetition-compulsion" in numerous works, the artist's mediations of the opticality of language and the tradition of modernism, and indebtness to Roussel and Duchamp. Three appendices provide detailed notes by Graham on each project, and further elaborate and exemplify the text works. Biographical notes. 48 bibl. ref.
