Abstract (English)

This catalogue documents the work of over 100 Canadian artists to issue from the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design (ECIAD). While Carter describes the curatorial choice to emphasize the contemporary nature of the art and design produced by graduates, other contributors sketch a history of the school, promote the college's diploma 46s over university degrees, and propose a possible scenario for ECIAD's future.
