Abstract (English)

The exhibition "Medium : Photocopy" explores, through works of Canadian and Westgerman artists, the recent developments of copy art. Brunet-Weinmann provides some historical landmarks and proposes a critical examination of "copygraphy" according to multiple viewpoints: the specificity of this medium, its iconic value, technological developments, processes (quotation, collage, montage and recycling), issues of reproduction and transformation.
