Gerhard RichterTools Koch, Gertrud; Lang, Luc; Antoine, Jean-Philippe. Gerhard Richter. Paris, France: Dis Voir, 1995.
Abstract (English)Three writers consider Richter's painting production while insisting on the undecidable status that the image takes on therein. Koch analyses two key works in terms of perspective, spaciality, and radical effacing of objects. Lang posits that the phenomenological experiences (notably the blur) are constructed by the artist through the integration of other media and that they are the basis of his political engagement. Antoine addresses in detail the question of landscape and the relationship between photography, painting, and the real. Brief biographical notes on the artist and writers. Bibl. 2 p.
