Abstract (English)

Analyzing a series of drawings produced in 1993, Laframboise likens Keeley's conjuring up of "the imaginary body of desire" to an alchemical process where the resulting "fantastic anatomies" derive their strength from the treatment of materials and from the "opacity" of the motifs. Includes three texts by Lucretia (in French only) which deal with the nature of simulacra, corporeal emanations and elementary particles, and the void. Biographical notes. 8 bibl. ref.

Analysant une série de dessins réalisés en 1993, Laframboise associe les images du "corps imaginaire du désir" de Keeley au processus alchimique au sein duquel les "anatomies fantastiques" tirent leur force de la puissance expressive des matériaux et de "l'opacité" des motifs. Inclut trois textes de Lucrèce qui traitent du simulacre, d'émanations corporelles, des propriétés des particules élémentaires et du vide. Notice biographique. 8 réf. bibl.
