Abstract (English)

Bradley evokes the evolution of abstract painting since the 1950s to comment on the non-figurative works of Shearer, Glavin, Leach and Cluett. The author elaborates on the artists' pictorial vocabularies, which are primarily inspired by a techological and urban graphic imagery reminiscent of Minimalism and Pop Art. Short statements by the artists. Biographical notes. 24 bibl. ref.
