Catalogue of a retrospective exhibition featuring more than 300 pieces – sculptures, ceramics, textiles, prints and drawings – by artists from the Keewatin region. In his introductory essay Ford describes his experience of living in the region, highlighting his father’s role in bringing Inuit art to people not living in the North. Reading’s essay draws attention to how traditional ways of life in Keewatin communities have changed as a result of contact with Europeans and modern technology. The publication also contains photographic documentation of works in the exhibition. 6 bibl. ref.
