Abstract (English)

Catalogue made to accompany an exhibition of drawings by Canadian artists included in the Carleton University Art Gallery’s permanent collection. Jeffrey’s analysis of selected works in the exhibition highlights the following modes of drawing: marking, writing, thinking, expressing and seeing. Numerous references are made to two drawing exhibitions presented at MoMA: “Drawing Now” (1976) and “Allegories of Modernism” (1992). Includes list of works. 18 bibl. ref.
