Abstract (English)

Ylitalo’s curatorial essay provides detailed descriptions of Sujir’s video-based works from 1988-1999, as well as biographical information on the artist. Emphasis is placed on the autobiographical dimension of Sujir’s work (her family relationships and the experience of immigrating to Canada from India).
