In this catalogue to accompany a touring exhibition of Dryer’s last series of paintings before her untimely death in 1992, guest curator Salzman and authors Storr and D. Moos consider how minimalism and Op Art have informed the artist’s panel-paintings, and draw attention to how her use of theatricality, objects and other formal references make the work postmodern.
