Abstract (English)

This catalogue documents an exhibition project involving 20 artists who produced site-specific works for the rooms of an abandoned hospital. In his introduction, Miller notes that despite the apparent ‘crisis’ in the health system, the artists’ work favour a poetic approach over social critique. Each intervention is presented with photographs and comments by the artists. Includes a floor plan of the hospital. Texts in English and French; brief biographical notes.

Documentation d’un projet d'exposition où 20 artistes ont réalisé une œuvre in situ dans les chambres d’un hôpital abandonné. En introduction, Miller souligne comment, malgré la crise qui affecte le système des soins de santé, les artistes ont privilégié la poésie à la critique sociale. Chaque intervention est présentée à l’aide de photographies et de commentaires des artistes. Inclut un plan de l’hôpital. Textes en français et en anglais ; brèves notices biographiques.
