Abstract (English)

Allen presents the art in exhibition as models of cultural expression fused with responsible citizenship. She believes that art can open new avenues of possibility by providing an arena for reflection and analysis, and that by acting together, individuals of good will can make a difference. Marks roots the artists' works in the materiality of the earth, claiming the latter as a base for political action in a post-industrial world. Biographical notes. List of works. 32 bibl. ref.
