Abstract (English)

Wajcman examines Cohen’s photographs of beds and couches from a psychoanalytic perspective and underlines how the artist, in representing absence, makes these objects the locus of speech and memory. The author elaborates on the Freudian aspect of the works and reviews some of the artist’s related projects. Texts in English and French. List of works; biographical notes on artist and author.

Wajcman examine les photographies de lits et de divans de Cohen selon un point de vue psychanalytique et souligne comment l’artiste, en représentant l’absence, fait de ces objets les lieux de la parole et de la mémoire.
