Abstract (English)Hosokawa discusses the influence of American English and Roman alphabet transcriptions of Japanese in the public sphere in Tokyo while Ikui describes the predominance of American culture. Includes a round table discussion between representatives of the American and Japanese art communities. Biographical notes on the nine artists as well as Dumb Type, a collaborative group of 15 members.
