Abstract (English)

"This August, Martha Street Studio presents an exhibition of the work of Winnipeg- based Betty Dimock. At 97, Betty is Manitoba's Elder stateswoman for the arts, with a rich and diverse career. Artist and nurse, Betty served in World War II. She trained at the Pratt Institute in New York City in her late teens, and later served in the military during World War 11. Betty later graduated with a B.F.A. from the School of Art, University of Manitoba, at age 63, taking summer sessions in printmaking and studying printmaking in Japan" -- Publisher's web site.
