Abstract (English)

This comprehensive catalogue relates Muntadas' installations, "passages" and interventions to the physical spaces and history of the Virreina Palace and to the urban "physiology" of Barcelona. Bellour discusses notions of manneriam and materiality in the demonstrative aspect of Muntadas' work while Bonet provides an extensive, chronological documentation of the artist's career. Includes a statement by the artist on "The Board Room" (1987) and an analysis by Wallis relating the piece to business, religion and American charismatic evangelism. Bibl. 3 p.
